This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is a description of types of conduct and activity that are not permitted on the 186networks network or when using our services. 186networks may revise this AUP from time to time by posting a new version on our website. By using our services, you agree to the latest version of this AUP.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use our services to:

  • Violate any law, rule, or regulation.
  • Engage in, foster, solicit or promote illegal, abusive, or irresponsible behavior.
  • Infringe or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right or right of publicity or privacy of any third party.

  • Engage in phishing, pharming, denial of service attacks, or other fraudulent or deceptive activities.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the services or networks of 186networks or any third party.
  • Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from other users without their consent.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Engage in any activity that 186networks reasonably believes may subject us to criminal or civil liability.

Prohibited Content

You may not post, distribute, or transmit any content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Promotes or provides assistance in promoting or encouraging illegal activity.
  • Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other proprietary right of any party.
  • Contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

Network Security

You may not attempt to probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or breach the security or authentication measures of any portion of our network or services without proper authorization.

Enforcement

186networks may investigate any violation of this AUP and may take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to issuing warnings, suspending or terminating your service, and/or reporting violations to law enforcement. 186networks reserves the right to cooperate fully with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any email messages, or publishing or otherwise making available any materials that are believed to violate this AUP.

Note: Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.
